Kickstarting 2025: GRIT Hub’s CoderDojo Supports Young Ninjas in Coding and Robotics
At GRIT Hub, we’re excited to announce the return of our CoderDojo program, kicking off on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025! With the introduction of South Africa’s new Coding and Robotics Curriculum by the Department of Education, GRIT Hub is dedicated to supporting learners of all ages in George and Mossel Bay, located in the Garden Route, as they transition into this innovative educational framework.
Supporting the Next Generation of Digital Innovators
The Coding and Robotics Curriculum aims to prepare South African learners for the future by equipping them with vital STEM skills. GRIT Hub is here to ensure that every child—regardless of background—has access to the tools and mentorship they need to succeed.
Our Tuesday Dojo sessions in George and Mossel Bay now offer after-school tutoring services designed to support learners in all grades as they navigate coding and robotics concepts. With hands-on guidance from experienced mentors and volunteers, our ninjas will develop the skills to thrive in the digital economy while fostering creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Mark Your Calendars for February 4th
The first session of the year is scheduled for Tuesday, February 4th, and we’re ready to welcome both returning and new participants. Whether your child is a beginner eager to learn the basics or an advanced coder looking to refine their skills, our CoderDojo program offers an inclusive environment for all young tech enthusiasts.
Coolest Projects 2025: A Platform for Creativity
This year, GRIT Hub is thrilled to encourage our ninjas to participate in Coolest Projects 2025, a global event sponsored by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. This competition celebrates innovation and creativity, giving kids the opportunity to showcase their coding and robotics projects on an international stage.
From ideation to execution, GRIT Hub’s team will provide the support and resources learners need to create meaningful and impactful projects. Participating in Coolest Projects will not only inspire confidence but also allow our ninjas to connect with like-minded young innovators worldwide.
