At GRIT Hub, we believe technology should work for people, not the other way around. That is why we are building digital skills from the ground up, ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, education, or age, has a place in the future of work.

This year, our AI Prompt Engineering Courses have sparked incredible momentum across the Garden Route. In partnership with the George Business Chamber, our first two community-facing sessions were completely sold out, filled with local entrepreneurs, professionals, and learners who are eager to unlock the potential of AI.

The response was so strong that we have already been invited to host a third session in May.

Our work is not limited to business environments. In April, we are bringing the same course to the Nelson Mandela University George Campus, equipping students with practical AI skills they can use in their studies, future careers, or entrepreneurial pursuits.

Earlier this year, we also hosted a dedicated AI literacy session with the youth at the Outeniekwa Child and Youth Care Centre (CYCC). For many of these young people, it was their first interaction with AI tools, and they approached the experience with creativity, confidence, and curiosity. It was a powerful reminder that innovation thrives when everyone is included.

What is AI Prompting, and Why Should Everyone Learn It?

AI prompting is the practice of giving clear, creative instructions to AI tools like ChatGPT or DALL·E to produce useful, accurate, or inspiring outputs.

You do not need to be a developer. You do not need to be a tech expert. You just need to be willing to learn, explore, and ask better questions. That is something everyone can do.

Whether you are a youth with a big imagination, a business owner juggling marketing content, or a student exploring new career paths, prompting is a bridge to possibility.

Why This Matters for the Garden Route

At GRIT Hub, we are committed to building a future that includes everyone — rural learners, township entrepreneurs, professionals seeking to adapt, and youth imagining a different path forward.

These AI sessions are more than workshops. They are gateways to confidence, creativity, and digital access. In every session, we are seeing how a more inclusive, digitally capable Garden Route can grow, not just for some, but for all.

If you are ready to learn, lead, or partner with us, we would love to hear from you. GRIT Hub is here to open doors and help the entire region walk through them.
