At GRIT Hub, we’ve always said that skills on their own don’t change outcomes. What matters is what those skills lead to, whether that’s a job, a contract, a business, or simply the ability to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
We are proud to share that GRIT Hub is fully accredited by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) and MICT SETA as a Skills Development Provider. This is a significant milestone, not just from a compliance perspective, but in how we structure and deliver real impact across the Garden Route and Klein Karoo.
Our accreditation enables us to deliver recognised, industry-aligned digital skills programmes that meet national standards while remaining grounded in the realities of our local economy. More importantly, it strengthens something we’ve been intentionally building for some time, which is creating clearer pathways from learning into actual economic participation.
The programmes we are accredited to deliver include Technopreneur, JavaScript Programmer, Front-End Web Designer, and HTML Programmer: All of which are aligned to real demand and designed to prepare individuals for practical participation in the digital economy.
At the same time, we are very aware that accreditation alone does not solve the broader challenge. The real work is in how these programmes translate into opportunity.
This is where our Learn, Grow, Go model comes into play.
The accreditation strengthens the Learn component, but its real value is in making the entire pipeline more credible and more accessible.
This milestone also forms part of a broader ecosystem we are intentionally developing. One of the key components of that is our growing partnership with Garden Route Skills Mecca.
There is strong alignment in how we think about skills, not just as training, but as a pathway into economic participation. Together, we see a clear opportunity to extend reach, improve delivery, and create more structured pipelines from skills into work across the region. This partnership becomes one of the spokes in a larger system that connects training, industry, and opportunity in a more practical way.
Alongside our QCTO-accredited programmes, we are actively working toward introducing internationally recognised certifications through CompTIA, starting with A+ and Security+. This will allow our learners to benchmark themselves globally and access opportunities beyond our local market, while still being rooted in the work we are doing here in the Garden Route.
For businesses across the Garden Route, particularly those within the various chambers, this creates a real opportunity to engage. The talent pipeline is not something that happens in isolation. It is something we can build together. Whether it’s hosting interns, identifying skills gaps, or collaborating on applied projects, there is space to participate in a way that directly benefits your organisation while strengthening the regional economy.
For us, accreditation is not the end goal; it gives us the structure and credibility to scale what we are already doing, deepen partnerships, and connect more people to meaningful opportunities.
At GRIT Hub, we remain focused on a clear outcome: driving innovation and entrepreneurship to create an inclusive and competitive digital workforce in the Garden Route.
If you are a business, institution, or public sector partner looking to be part of that, now is a good time to connect.
Let’s build this properly.
